How it works
A launch has three phases.
Phase 1: deposit
The launch page uploads your logo and asks the keeper for a quote. You pay one deposit in ETH on Robinhood Chain from MetaMask, with a reference in the transaction data. The deposit covers:
- the Pons launch fee, 0.0005 ETH,
- the Robinhood Chain gas, about 0.0005 ETH,
- the pump.fun creation, about 0.03 SOL, paid by the keeper and converted to ETH at the current rate,
- a small margin.
The total is about 0.0045 ETH at today's rate.
Phase 2: launch
The page gives the keeper the transaction hash. The keeper reads the transaction on Robinhood Chain, checks it and runs the pipeline, in this order:
- Pons, on Robinhood Chain:
HingeLauncher.launchcreates the coin on Pons with a dedicatedHingeVaultas the creator fee recipient. - pump.fun, on Solana:
create_v2creates the coin with the same name, ticker and logo. - Fee sharing on pump.fun: the creator fees are split between your wallet and Hinge, once.
- The coin is registered and both token addresses are shown to you.
Phase 3: after the launch
The two coins live their own life. Hinge does not trade them. Creator fees accumulate on both chains, and you claim yours:
- pump.fun: from pump.fun, with your own wallet.
- Pons: the vault splits them between your Robinhood address, if you gave one, and Hinge.
split()is public.
Why the prices differ
The two curves open at different values (about $4.3K on Pons and $3.2K on pump.fun at today's rates), use different assets (ETH, SOL) and take different fees. Each side then follows its own buyers. Nothing in Hinge ties them together.
